Used, I am reluctantly selling my MGB GT. A spectacular example of vintage sports car and utter joy to drive! With a well tuned, smooth engine, holding perfect oil pressure and temperature. A stunning red with wooden steering wheel and chrome bumpers. Starting on the first turn of the engine, the car has been well mechanically looked after in the 4 years I have owned her. Some of the work carried out in the past year includes: full service and preemptive work such as replacement battery, replacement clutch, replacement fuel lines, replacement accelerator cable, replacement of most bulbs. New motors and fuel pump fitted. All fluids replaced. More aesthetic work includes: replacing all door locks and glove box lock; replaced rubber seals close to perishing, fitted pioneer speakers and JVL radio/CD player. Not all surfaces are smooth, tiny bubbles appear evident on close inspection of the roof, a repainting defect perhaps. Some rust spots have started to develop on the body, see picture. Though door bottoms, sills, valances and wheel arches are rot free, there would be benefit in rust-proofing underneath. Standard four speed manual gear box with overdrive which is operating perfectly. The interior has its original factory black leather seats with black carpets and red trim. Excellent tyres all round. NCT exempt, benefits from classic road tax at €56 and classic car insurance of c €190.
